Florida Hospital Project

This project was completed as a senior design studio course assignment as part of a 3-person team, according to the requirements of ASHRAE’s 2010 Student Design Competition. It was awarded first place in its category.

The competition required us to design a sustainable 400-bed hospital tower as a theoretical addition to the Florida Hospital complex. Our design is planned to achieve a Platinum LEED certification for its sustainable energy-saving features, such as solar-shading architectural fabric, natural lighting, and water saving systems.
