Lake House Addition, Harrison Township (MI)
DETAILS: Transforming a classic metropolitan suburban house into a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, our recent project involved the addition of a seamlessly integrated storage and additional parking. Embracing the existing aesthetic of the structure was at the forefront of our design journey, as we aimed to create an extension that felt like a natural progression of the original architecture.
Balancing contemporary functionality with a nod to the past, we reimagined the interior to align with modern sensibilities. While the exterior pays homage to the suburban heritage, the interior was updated to offer open and flexible spaces that cater to the needs of today’s homeowners. This subtle transformation speaks to our commitment to honoring history while embracing the demands of contemporary living.
In crafting this harmonious blend of past and present, we’ve created a dwelling that not only pays tribute to its roots but also welcomes the future with open arms.
